It's been such a long time...

Today's been an eventful day.. The minute we reached ama's place after the flight and long car ride home, I puked. Heh. Think it's cause u had too much before we boarded. I shall rmb not to eat too much before I board a plane next time. Anyway, after testing for a while, I felt much better. Went over to ee's place later in the evening to see kma. Nice place they've got there, lots of open space and very clean. Haha. And boy, their place is like a zoo!! 3 dogs, 2 cats, guppies, butterfly breeding container.. Haha. Had an interesting talk with them, made me think twice about fat u really wanna do next time.

When I got back, the house was pitch black, power failure. Apparently there was overloading of the power supply la. So everyone like got ready in the dark, was kinda funny la. Like changing in the dark, doing hair and make up. Hahaha.. Luckily everyone showered already. I would say the incident was a blessing in disguise. I haven't seen the family so united in doing anything together for a really long time. Do people only put aside their differences and work together when adversity sets in??

When we reached dinner, di yi po (ama's 2nd sis) and family were already there. Food wasn't that fantastic, but the company was most impt. Enjoyed myself thoroughly. Singing k, spamming pics and all.:D yea.. It was good.

Thank God for His provision and protection over all of us today.:) I pray that ama will only become stronger and God please not let anything happen to her. This will NOT be the last time I see her.

Lessons officially started. This year's going to be a mad rush with teachers trying to complete syllabus in the shortest time possible so that we can do revision, with all the piling tutorials, assignments and essays. But above all, I thank God that I have friends, familiy, brothers and sisters who are there with me and for me.(: The many blessings in my life that I may have taken for granted or have missed just cause I've been too busy with "life". Learning how to stop and think and see what God has done for me, just makes things seem so much easier. Learning to see things from a bigger picture, from God's perspective, just gives me so much peace, knowing that He's in control.(:

Greetings from england!! Hehe. It's been great fun here, the food's great!! But can't say the same about the weather. Quite cold and rainy on some days. Haha..

Day 1 Friday
Reached at around 5am in the morning. By the time we got to my aunty's house was about 7 plus. Went out the enfield town to walk around and buy some groceries.. Came back and had a lovely roast dinner. Yum yum yum!!

Day 2 Saturday
Went to St Alban's town for more shopping and walking around. Headed to the waffle house to have waffles. YUMMMY. Shawn and I had sweet waffles with ice cream, cream and the usual stuff. London kma and mummy had savoury waffles, ham cheese and mushroom and chilli con carne. Mum ordered extra baked apple with waffle thingy after that. After that headed down to covent garden to have a light snack before meeting tua ku, took a tube down form oakwood, the nearest station to home. We had starters at pizza hut and the mushroom was HUMONGIGOUS. Haha. Went to the theatre to meet up with tua ku and watched OLIVER live. It was sooo good. The muscial numbers was fantastic and the number of elaborate props and set up was just awesome.

Day 3 Sunday
Went to trafalger square but sadly there weren't many pigeons left anymore. Took some really funny pictures then headed towards the big ben, london eye and westminster abbey. There was a HUGE demonstration going on, something about climate change and how carbon credits were useless. Everyone was dressed in blue and making lots of noise, heading for the prime minister's office and residence. We bought some souvenirs along the way and sadly couldn't really tak good pictures when we reached the big ben cause there were too many ppl around the area and the weather was turning bad and dark. Headed down to chinatown for some chinese dinner. Oh boy! It was GOOD..

Day 4 Monday
Set out in the morning to Selfridges for more shopping. Took a tube down to picadilly circus I think. Walked to the Disney store nearby(: Sadly, I only saw a few stitch things. There was this really nice mug but I figured that there’s too many mugs at home so I decided against buying it, but now I think otherwise… Hmmm… maybe I shall go back and get it one of these days. Walked all the way to Selfridges and had lunch there at the top floor. There was this food court like thingy where you just pick whatever you want and pay at the end before going to look for a seat. It’s sort of like Marche and Mampuku but there’s no card thingy, you just pay. I had roast baby chicken with roasted potato and brussel sprouts, shawn had fish and chips (which he didn’t like), tua ee had thosai ( which they spell as dosa) and mummy had CURRY LAKSA. Can you believe it, you fly all the way, half way across the world, just to come here and eat laksa. WOW. Haha. Walked around after that and mummy bought this really cool hair straighter/curler for us to share, or for me rather. And as the promoter was demo-ing on me, JONATHAN and tua ku came. I was shocked! Can you imagine, your long lost cousin whom you’ve never met since you were 1! And when he sees you for the first time that he will remember you, he sees you being demo-ed on! HAHA. Oh well.. So we all went to starbucks for a drink and to catch up on the many years lost. Jon’s in Cambridge medicine!!

Day 5 Tuesday
Got up a little earlier to go to the museum, wern jie jie took us out. Went to catch the tube which was so conked up, we had to get off at arnos grove which was like 3 stops away from our stop and that tool us 40 mins to get there. Something was wrong with the tube so we had to wait for the next one. The worse thing is that all the stations are underground EXCEPT arnos grove, so it was cold and windy. Brrr… Got off at some far away station that took forever to get to, and bought cookies from Ben’s cookies before heading for the Natural History Museum. It’s SOOOO big that we didn’t even cover the whole place in the 3 hours we spent there. Meet tua ee, ling jie jie and wil then went to Chinatown for dinner. London kma joined us later as we were finishing. Haha. Wil and ling jie jie foot the bill, half half. So funny la.

Day 6 Wednesday
Went out with London kma and uncle sam, the 5 of us drove out to oakwood to take a tube all the way to tower bridge. Met ling jie jie for lunch first before walking around. By the time we reached the tube station at London bridge, we were all dying to pee so we had to go look around for toilets. As we were walking around looking for toilets, I felt someone tap on my right shoulder so I turned around to look back on my right side. No one was there so naturally I turned around the other way to see who it was. AND I SCREAMED!!! There was this guy with his face painted in red and white in some scary face. I got the scare of my life man. I literally shrieked! I scared everyone who was walking in front of me! Man! That guy stinks. Haha. After that we went to meet tua ku to collect tickets for the NUTCRACKER!! Had a little bit of food at the BK nearby then rushed down to covent garden to meet wern jiejie and Kiran. Went to the Disney store there and bought my stitch mug! Nutcracker was awesome!! I just love the sugarplum fairy dance and everything. Everyone is so technical and sooooo good. It’s awesome man. With the live orchestra and everything. Wow, it’s just WOW…

Day 7 Thursday
Wern jiejie took the 3 of us our today. We went to the Christmas market along the embankment today. It isn’t a very long stretch but just the right length for mummy. Had lunch at giraffe and my mango mama drink came with a really cute giraffe stirrer. It’s pink! Too bad I didn’t get orange After lunch, finished up the rest of the stores that we didn’t cover earlier on. We went to meet kiran at the british museum and walked around inside. We saw real life mummies! But by that time, shawn and I were really bushed so we didn’t really enjoy ourselves that much. Surprisingly, mummy really liked it and was very interested. Left after a while and headed to the starbucks opposite the museum to have a drink and wait for ah ling jiejie to reach. Somehow she walked in the wrong direction and couldn’t find us so we ended up meeting her at the tube station instead and headed home.

Day 8 Friday
Didn’t do much, got up really late. Haha. We had fish and chips at a pub nearby then went to this huge Tesco and M&S to shop for a while before rushing back to change and go to the tube station to go watch THE LION KING!! This is my favourite out of all the theatres I’ve been too!! It’s just marvellous, fantastic!!

Day 9 Saturday
Drove up to Ware today, everyone went except uncle Sam. There was 9 of us in total. It’s a small little town and it’s really cute. There’s this small river like canal thingy that we walked along and fed ducks, geese and swan. After that we walked around town for a bit before heading towards the grotto. We didn’t really know where it was so we just walked and asked for directions from passer-bys along the way. It was quite a fair bit of walking that we had to do we even had to climb up this steep slope that was in residential area cause that’s where the grotto was. After the arduous walk, we finally reached the entrance of the grotto. Only to find that IT WAS CLOSED!!!!! ARGH! You have no idea how disappointed I was… I was really looking forward to it. But oh well… We headed back to the car and stopped by a small shop to buy some fish and chips. The chips were really good, even the small tiny burnt bits. Too bad I didn’t get to try the fish, those who had some said it was even better than the chips. Into the car, and off to the large Tesco and M&S that we went the night before, going to buy stuff that we needed for dinner at night and for the Christmas dinner on Sunday. Reached home and started cooking and all, the usual routine with tua ee, ling jiejie, wern jiejie and I in the kitchen, with Shawn occasionally pooping in to help. We had dinner earlier, at about 9. Haha.

Day 10 Sunday
Didn’t go out shopping or to town today. Got up at 930 to go running with wern jiejie in the woods just 5 min walk from the house. We left around 1030 and headed there. It was quite cold cause I was only wearing a t-shirt and a hoodie with sweat pants. It’s a really beautiful place to run in or even for a walk. Stopped by a beautiful lake to feed ducks, geese, pigeons and seagulls, there were a few ravens too. Started our run through the woods and I wasn’t so cold anymore. It was quite muddy at some parts so my shoes and pants got mud on them. Saw about 6 squirrels near the end of the trail. Ended at the cottage in forty hill, sat down and had a cup of tea each together with wern jiejie. We had a nice talk talking about stuff. Made our way back, stopping by at a grocer’s to pick up some groceries before running into the house to warm up. We had to wash our shoes in the garden with a big brush and a toothbrush to get rid of the mud on our shoes. It was quite fun doing it. Found a glow worm in the watering can while I was doing that. After that had a quick bite before we headed out into the garden to cut leaves and flowers for the wreath. Out of the many plants we cut, there was holly! And ouch! Holly is prickly man! So we started doing up the wreath and mum made a really nice basketful of flowers that’s really pretty. Played ghost squad with Shawn and wern jiejie after that until it was time to start preparing for CHRISMAS DINNER! There was so much to do man!! There was a whole range of starters, mushroom soup, parsnip chips, boiled carrots, brussel sprouts and asparagus. And of course there was turkey and ham. Food glorious food!! So we got the table ready and everyone sat down to eat. Tua ee said grace and we all digged in!! man, there was so much food. This is my first time ever having a proper Christmas dinner. There was crackers for everyone and party poppers too! So we all had a good meal, with the sumptuous spread of scrumptious food. Washed up then dessert!! Christmas pudding, triffle, minced pies and 3 tubs of Haagen daaz ice cream, one of which had bailey’s in it! Hehe, alcohol…

Day 11 Monday
Stayed at home the whole day. Didn't go out at all. Spent the day on the com and playing wii with Shawn.

Day 12 Tuesday
Ling jiejie and tua ee took the day off and we all went out. Went out earlier with Shawn and Ling jiejie to Covent garden to go back to Royal Opara House to go to the gift shop to buy stuff. Then went to Westfields to meet the oldies and to SHOP!! I LOVE WESTFIELDS!! SHOP SHOP SHOP SHOP SHOP!! Hehe. Bought the most stuff I think. London kma bought me a new coat.(: HAPPY HAPPY HAPPY!! By the time we left, it was about 11 already. Hehe.(:(:

Day 13 Wednesday
Last day in England.:( It snowed in the morning!! My very first snowfall!! Packed in a rush and zoomed off to the airport. Don't really rmb much about the flight apart form watching the time traveller's wife and feeling very horrible by the time we ended cause I didn;t eat much.



Thank God for providing me with this wonderful trip and with such wonderful family members there that have blessed us in every single way. Thanks loads to the family in London!! Love love(:
